Overcoming Addiction Since 2000

Drug and alcohol addictions affect and destroy the lives of many individuals and families daily. It is not a lack of willpower nor a character flaw that causes individuals to suffer from these addictions. It is considered a disease and should be seen and treated as a medical issue, just as any other illness. The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) (TE, 2013) defines addiction as follows:

"Addiction is a treatable, chronic medical disease involving complex interactions among brain circuits, genetics, the environment, and an individual's life experiences. People with addiction use substances or engage in behaviors that become compulsive and often continue despite harmful consequences."

Our facilities offer the American Society of Addiction Medicine levels of care treatment supported by our medical, clinical, and peer support teams.
